Training, workshops and interaction programs
Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce has been organizing training especially for small and medium enterprises SMEs. The training program focuses on imparting knowledge, skill and attitude. For last five years, LCCI has organized 30 training programs in various subjects such as marketing management to productivity improvement and Kaizen & 5S. The total numbers of beneficiaries were 553 persons from small enterprises.
LCCI also organizes interaction and workshops with an objective to increase awareness level of SMEs in various business related matterssuch as VAT, income tax, government policies, commercial policies, management efficiency and so forth. For last five years, it has organized 22 programs with 1046 beneficiaries.
LCCI will pursuit in improving performance of SMEs providing more training and interaction programs in new developments in business and economics.
Industrial Exhibition
LCCI has been organizing Lalit Industrial Fair since 1995 to promote indigenous products of Lalitpur. The exhibition becomes one of major events in Lalitpur district and attracts exhibitors from outside Kathmandu valley as well. LCCI is trying to promote the exhibition to national as well as international level.
Information Service
We collect business and economic information from various sources and disseminate to our members through mail, circulars as well as newsletters. We have information section where interested people can assess publications, reports, directories, newsletters and other information sources available to the LCCI. Besides, LCCI secretariat also provides information regarding business registration in different government offices.
Artha is official bulletin of LCCI, which contains information on chamber's activities as well business information.
Income Tax and Vat
LCCI facilitate its members for the easy registration at income tax and VAT offices. It also provides counseling to its members on VAT and income tax.
Recommendation
We issue recommendations to members and other business people for visa application, business and income tax registration and for other purposes.
Lobbying
LCCI represents voices of business community of the Laitpur District. It lobbies for common interest of business people. It comments and recommends the government in various policy matters.
Representation
LCCI has been representing business community in various government and non-government organization creating networking for favorable socio-economic environment in the district. It represents at VAT, Income Tax, Lalitpur Sub-metropolitan City, Department of Commerce, Patan Campus, District Offices of HMG and many social organizations.
Social development
LCCI involves in various social and cultural activities. It supports and promotes cultural events such as Kartic Nach, a ritual dance perform at Patan Durbar Square. Likewise, it has established special fund for these socio-cultural activities. LCCI is also contributing in education providing scholarship to the deprived students of government schools.
